Who am I and why flight927
flight927 was the flight that changed my life forever. It was the flight that took me to Ecuador during college to help launch a water purification system. I chose to take a risk and venture into the unknown. I almost died, many times, but I lived. And the journey lives on as well.
Since then, I've led lifecycle marketing programs, worked on wide-ranging creative consulting projects, started a company, created a variety of content, and told many stories.
I most recently led an award-winning lifecycle marketing team at Meetup, responsible for building the digital infrastructure that powers community building for more than 55 million users internationally.
I joined Meetup when it was at the brink of death from the post WeWork fallout and the beginning of a pandemic, at a time when the world was shuttering, and community was at an all time low. Since joining, I not only helped keep it profitable every month since, but helped it to thrive, culminating in a successful acquisition that drove 13.7x return on company per share value.
From the ground up, I created a team and program that drove more than +7.3 million people to events, +6.7 million events scheduled, and adoption of new product subscription offerings from inception to $1MM+ annual revenue generating lines of business.
Through this work at Meetup, I was selected as the 2022 Marketing MVP of the Year from Braze, who recognizes one person each year who leverages technology in creative, thoughtful, and effective ways to forge meaningful relationships with users and drive stronger business outcomes.
Before that I spent 4 years working on the marketing team of a tech-mobility startup in Chicago where I headed up customer retention and lifecycle marketing.
I am an entrepreneur, a dreamer, and an explorer. These three mindsets form my creative spark.
